About us
MINIANI is a Perth-based creative fashion education program and DIY kit platform that helps young people learn hand-sewing, design thinking and sustainability through making. We offer workshops and high-quality DIY kits that guide participants from inspiration to a finished piece-building practical skills, confidence and a sense of belonging along the way.
Hadas Demb Shoef is the founder and facilitator of MINIANI, with a Bachelor of Design in Fashion, a BA in Sociology, Anthropology and Classic Greek, and 25+ years of industry experience. Her training includes Be You professional learning in Learning Resilience and Mentally Healthy Communities (Beyond Blue) and an 84 hour youth focused community work training program delivered in partnership with Tel Aviv University. Hadas holds current Working With Children Check, Police Clearance and First Aid, and is currently studying Certificate III in School Based Education Support (expected completion July 2026).
MINIANI blends professional fashion knowledge with a wellbeing-informed, strengths-based facilitation approach. Sessions and kits are designed to be inclusive for different learning styles and backgrounds, with a calm “studio culture” where process matters as much as the outcome and mistakes are part of learning.
We care deeply about making fashion more responsible. Wherever possible, MINIANI encourages reuse, repairs and creative re-imagining—helping young people see the value in what already exists, and empowering them to create with intention.
At MINIANI, we believe everyone is creative. Sometimes creativity just needs the right invitation—time, guidance, and a space where it feels safe to try. Our workshops and kits are designed to help young people discover their creative voice, build confidence through making, and feel proud of what they can do—one stitch at a time.
